Happy Birthday Assata! Film Night and Discussion

July 16 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Join the Uhuru Solidarity Movement St. Louis, white people under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party, to celebrate the birthday of Assata Shakur, a revolutionary freedom fighter for African people and veteran of the Black Power Movement of the 60s.

We will be screening a documentary about Assata called “The Eyes of the Rainbow”

Our featured speaker is Naila Taylor, a beacon of the new generation of Black Power freedom fighters. At 16 years old, Naila is the International Youth Liason for the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement (INPDUM), and is the membership coordinator for the St. Louis chapter of INPDUM.

Snacks will be provided.
Suggested $10 donation at the door
All proceeds benefit the Black Power Blueprint, building economic development in the hands of the black community of St. Louis.
