The Black Power Blueprint in St. Louis, MO, is a black community-led project transforming abandoned buildings into centers of black self-determination, starting with the Uhuru House community center, housing on College Ave, an outdoor marketplace venue, and the Uhuru Jiko community kitchen to produce healthy foods and serve as an incubator for black food businesses to rent cheaply to get their catering businesses off the ground.

This is a project with a long term vision to end the grave disparities in health, education, and economic development in the black community, imposed by centuries of systemic oppression and injustice. It is a grassroots people’s project made possible through local workers & volunteers, and crowdfunding from supporters from all over the world!
