Endorsing Organizations

The Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People campaign. The BIB is a broad coalition of African people united around the principles of anti-imperialism and African self-determination. The BIBC is comprised of organizations such as Black Agenda Report, People’s Organization for Progress, and the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement.

Union del Barrio, a Mexican liberation organization that has been waging courageous and just struggles in defense of the rights of Mexican people for over 30 years, has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People campaign.

The International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement, the mass revolutionary organization of the African working class that is known and respected around the world for demanding reparations to African people for slavery and colonialism, demanding an end to the police containment of the African community and pushing for real economic development instead of more police, has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People campaign!

The prison gates are open…, a news site run by BJ Murphy of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO), and currently an organizer for Occupy Winston-Salem, the Winston-Salem, NC branch of Occupy Wall Street, has endorsed the DSAP campaign and made the following statement: “The news blog that I run, The Prison Gates Are Open…, is now officially endorsing this campaign of yours, and also has the pledge button set up alongside it. My support and solidarity goes out to all of you, comrades!  UHURU!”

Anti-Imperialism.com, A Revolutionary News, Culture and Theory Webzine, has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African Peoplecampaign and including a spotlight on the campaign in the recently published article, “Make October A Month of Anti-Imperialist Resistance“:

“The Uhuru Solidarity Movement’s ‘A Day In Solidarity With African People’ is a series of campaigns to educate the public about the fundamental contradictions which have thus far shaped history and to fund-raise for various emancipatory projects they are associated with

“The Uhuru Solidarity Movement, along with organizations like the African People’s Socialist Party, has a qualitatively better line than the vast majority of what passes as the ‘left’ in the United States, notably in regards to the principal contradiction. I encourage comrades to engage in this campaign, as it is a constructive part of the wider anti-imperialist movement. The All African People’s Development and Empowerment Project, an international organization whose goal is to use the collective energy, skill and expertise of Africans wherever they are located and to include others with skills who are willing to work under the guidelines of this project, to offer their skills for the development of Africa and African communities throughout the world, has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People campaign!

Deep Green Resistance has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People campaign, sending in the statement: “The Uhuru Solidarity Movement is doing some very important work. We would be honored to sign on in Solidarity.”

The Irish Republican Socialist Committees of North America endorse the Days in Solidarity with African People campaign.

Refuge Ministries has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People.

The Florida chapter of the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign

Socialist Alternative has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People.

Philly Against War  has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People.

Green Party of Philadelphia  has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People.

Temple Students for Justice in Palestine has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People.

Temple Conflict-Free Campus has endorsed the Days in Solidarity with African People.
