Jesse Nevel is the National Chair of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, the mass organization of the African People's Solidarity Committee.
Jesse met the Uhuru Movement when he attended a workshop led by APSC Chairwoman Penny Hess in Sarasota, and he joined USM a few months later at an event in St. Petersburg where he saw Chairman Omali Yeshitela speak about the historic struggle to free Africa and African people.
Since then he has organized under the leadership of the African People's Socialist Party to win unity through reparations from the white community, whether as an on-the-ground organizer or as a mayoral candidate.
