Hosted by the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, “White Australia Owes Reparations” will expose the genocidal roots of the colonial settler state of Australia and shine a light on the heroic struggle of the Aboriginal people from their resistance to the British occupation in the late 1700s to the Black Power movement that emerged there in the 1960s.
The Uhuru Solidarity Movement, working under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party, is building white solidarity with Black Power in Australia, raising the revolutionary demand for reparations.
Luna George, an Australian USM organizer for reparations to African people, will be speaking on the history of Australia and the current situation there, and how white Australians can join under the leadership of the African revolution as a true stance of solidarity with oppressed and colonized peoples in Australia and throughout the world.
Penny Hess, Chair of the African People’s Solidarity Committee, and author of “Overturning the Culture of Violence” will talk about the principled stance of solidarity from white people everywhere with the movement of African workers fighting for national liberation and socialism.
