Colonialism is killing the environment! Reparations now!
April 21, 2018
The Uhuru Solidarity Movement calls on us white people who are concerned about the environmental crisis to join in solidarity with African and Indigenous liberation as the only real and permanent solution to climate change and ecological destruction.
USM the organization of white people formed by and working under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party, organizing in the white community for reparations to African people.
Chairman Omali Yeshitela, the leader of the African People’s Socialist Party, has exposed that the political and economic system that is threatening life on the planet earth is parasitic capitalism, a system born from the European assault on Africa, enslavement of African people and genocide against the Indigenous people of the Americas and the theft of their land.
Before we as white people attacked Africa and the so-called “Americas” to steal the resources and exploit the labor of African and Indigenous peoples, the rainforest, ocean, wildlife, air quality, rivers, and bees were thriving.
Before the emergence of capitalism, there were no oil spills. There was no global warming.
This changed when we left Europe and created a system for our benefit by working African and Indigenous human beings to death on plantations and in mines, exploiting their labor in the service industry and containing them on concentration camps called reservations – where Indigenous peoples have a life expectancy of only 42 years.
We can’t have a “green” capitalism. We can’t smack a few solar panels on police stations which function to facilitated the military occupation of African and Indigenous communities and call that progress.
The only thing we can do to ensure a future for the planet and every living thing on it is return the flow of stolen resources that built and sustain this system to the African People’s Socialist Party – the leading force in the worldwide anti-colonial, anti-capitalist movement.
This means reparations. We OWE reparations. Every single one of us white people.
This is a call to action!
Environmentalism that does not address capitalism is fraudulent – is itself an attack on the environment.
We have to put our money where our mouths are and take responsibility for our culture that is doing this to the planet and to the rest of humanity.
The stolen land on which we live in the so-called Americas must go back to the Indigenous peoples.
The APSP formed the Uhuru Solidarity Movement for us white people who want to be in solidarity with African liberation. We organize in the white community, and pay and raise reparations to Black Star Industries – the APSP’s economic wing building projects for African self-determination and self-reliance.
This includes the Black Power Blueprint, a project that is creating, among other black community institutions, community gardens and community market places in the black community where there are food deserts, gentrification, and polluted air and water.
