After a while, the violence of global parasitic capitalism becomes totally predictable. With every new attack on the colonized population, with every new tax cut for the rich, with every slash to the colonial state’s pathetic welfare programs, the beast exposes its true colors. But it also shows its true weakness.
From its bloody start, capitalism has had one indomitable enemy: the freedom, integrity, and self-determination of colonized African people. Through their capture and commodification by Europeans, African people became the foundation of wealth and labor for the expanding Euro-American colonial trade. And just as their oppression “signalised the rosy dawn of the era of capitalist production” their uprising signals its impending fall.
Parasitic capitalism has become incredibly bold in its final desperate attempts to retake what power it has lost to the rising African nation. Without its host, Africa, and its foundational commodity, African people, this economic system will wither away entirely. The most recent, blatantly unjust tax cut for the white ruling class passed by the senate reveals the road ahead. And as APSP Chairman Omali Yeshitela says “The road to socialism is painted BLACK.”
