Existence is Resistance: Palestinian Art as a Tool of Liberation

This thirty-five page booklet was written by Kefira Baron, who researched history of Palestinian literature and art that impacted resistance struggles against Israeli occupation. It provides specific pieces of text from Palestinian authors, gives contexts to their significance, as well as the historical process of colonial attacks on Palestine, starting from the 1930s.

The author provides a preface to the piece noting her own experience being raised Jewish. From the author:
“I present what Palestinian writers and artists have expressed; I only attempt to provide historical context to the reader. With the theft of land and genocide of Palestinian people a great deal of history and culture has been destroyed. Out of my interest to be in solidarity with Palestinian people, I hope this paper will delineate the importance of overturning the system of colonialism that exists both in Occupied Palestine and here in Occupied Turtle Island (the U.S.).”
