“Africans, Mexicans and other oppressed people have existed as colonial subjects and subject to the worst kind of police brutality,” he told the U.S. Desk in a phone interview from St. Petersburg, Fl. on Saturday.

The Uhuru Movement is holding the Bay Area Black Community Convention in Oakland, CA this weekend to address the issue of police violence and the lack of economic development in the African community. The meeting will involve planning for actions around the recent police attacks against the Mexican community in Anaheim, CA.
