Penny Hess, chairwoman of The African People’s Solidarity Committee says the group wants to raise “consciousness” among white Americans about the oppression and the war the U.S. has launched both outside and inside America.
In an interview with Press TV’s U.S. Desk on Wednesday, she said there is a virtual war against blacks in the United States, adding that there are two completely different realities in the U.S.: Realities for whites and realities for other people of color.
Activists from around the country will meet in Philadelphia on June 9th to organize opposition to U.S. foreign military occupations and domestic police operations, and to build a campaign for the redistribution of resources to African and other oppressed communities.
