No Ban, No Wall! Colonialism Must Go! Resist U.S. war on Muslims, Mexicans and Africans!

by Jesse Nevel

On Friday, January 27th, 2017, U.S. president Donald Trump signed an executive order barring citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, amounting to 218 million people, from entering the United States for the next 90 days and suspending the admission of all refugees for 120 days.

This announcement came two days after Trump signed an order for the construction of a separation wall at the Mexican border, fulfilling one of the campaign promises that ignited the support of his white nationalist base.

The African People’s Solidarity Committee condemns the hideous colonialist attacks on Muslim, Mexican and African people by the Trump administration and calls for white people in the U.S. to support the struggles by Muslim, Mexican, and African people to resist and push back these vicious assaults.

APSC is the organization of white people formed by and working under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party.

Our job is to go back into our white communities and build white solidarity with African, Indigenous, Arab and all oppressed and colonized peoples fighting for their liberation.

As many liberals and Democrats start hitting the streets talking about building a “resistance” to Trump, here’s the thing that we really have to face: Trump’s war on Muslims and Mexicans does not represent a huge shift from the policies set in motion by the previous administration under Barack Obama and the Democratic Party.

We can’t buy into this narrative that the Democrats are the kinder, gentler alternative to the Republican Party.

Both the Republican and the Democratic Parties are parties that represent Wall Street, the white ruling class.

If we are truly interested in changing the world, ending the horrible conditions imposed on the African community, Arab people and Mexican people in our name, then protesting Trump cannot become a substitute for fighting to end the system of colonialism itself which began the war on Africans, Mexicans, and Arabs long before Trump was even born.

The war began with the assault on Africa by Europe, the turning of Africa into a warren for the enslavement of African people whose bodies were transformed into commodities to be sold on Wall Street and whose stolen labor we exploited to build the U.S. and Western economy for our benefit.

The war on the Mexican people did not originate with Trump either; it began when us white people stole half of Mexico at gunpoint in the 1850s. The so-called “American southwest” is is the land of the Mexican people, not white people! Mexicans are Spanish-speaking Indigenous people and this is still their land.

We, Euro-Americans or white people, are the illegal aliens, not Mexicans.

We are the ones who invaded this continent and deployed all methods of genocidal horror including smallpox infested blankets, ripping off the scalps and other body parts of Indigenous people as trophies, including human fetuses and male and female genitalia, in the process of expelling and exterminating them so we could steal their land and make a life for ourselves at their expense.

We put a false, colonial, illegitimate border on their land and then we killed any Mexican who dared to cross this border that wasn’t there yesterday. Suddenly we are the citizens and they are the immigrants.

Obama was no friend to Mexicans. He intensified the U.S. genocidal war against the Mexican people. He and the Democrats deported over two million Mexican people during his time as president, more than any other U.S. president since the original theft of half of Mexico!

There are mass graves lining the Mexican border, filled with the bodies of Mexican men, women and children murdered by vigilantes and immigration police.

Trump’s attacks on Muslims are a continuation of the Obama legacy.

Trump has continued Obama’s signature drone strike murders in Yemen and other places.

In the year 2016 alone, the Obama administration dropped at least 26,171 bombs on seven countries, amounting to at least 3 bombs dropped per hour. The seven countries whose children, men and women faced the genocidal brunt of Obama’s terror were Syria, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan.

The countries from which Trump banned citizens from entering the U.S. included Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

Five of those countries are places where U.S. bombs rained down on the people there just last year, places where the U.S. army committed mass murder, destroyed their societies, pulverized their infrastructure, made it necessary for those people to become refugees, denied the right of living a safe and secure life in their own home, forced to flee their homeland and seek “refuge” in the very countries that are bombing and stealing their resources.

There is a continuity from Obama’s bombs to Trump’s ban. U.S. imperialism is the hand behind both.

It does not matter if a Democrat or a Republican occupies the Oval Office, the whole system is built on slavery, genocide and colonialism and it must be overturned!

The only thing that will end the horror of colonialism is when Africans, Arabs, Indigenous, Mexicans and other colonized peoples are self-determining and liberated and take back control of their resources, lives, lands, and destinies.

This is what the Uhuru Movement , the African People’s Socialist Party is fighting every single day and night to make happen.

White people: we have to get on the right side!

You don’t need any more proof at this point. Everybody knows the U.S. government has no legitimacy. Their “democracy” is a joke, a contest between sections of the ruling class for control of the guns, military, navy, the State, so they can keep brutalizing the peoples of the world to steal their resources and fill their pockets. That’s all this system is about, profit for the white ruling class.

It’s called parasitic capitalism, a nasty, blooduscking profit-over-everything social system that brings resources to white people on the pedestal of the oppression of African and Indigenous people.

It’s a system whose core is colonialism, the entire domination of oppressed nations by an oppressor nation (that would be us, white people) for our benefit, at their expense.

You really want to take a stand against Trump’s attacks on Mexicans, Muslims, Africans?

Then let’s take a stand in solidarity with their liberation from colonial slavery because that is the only way. Solidarity with their true self-determination is the way forward. Solidarity with their right to take back what belongs to them, is the way forward.

Stand against imperialism as a whole, not just imperialism when Trump is in the White House!  Where were the protests for the past eight years? Only the African independence movement under the Uhuru Movement and the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations was out there marching and demanding an end to U.S. wars during the Obama regime. The white left was nowhere to be seen.

Hell no to Trump, Clinton, Republicans,  Democrats–  and the whole damn system!

We cannot allow the Democrats to swoop in and exploit the legitimate outrage that many of us are feeling and divert those emotions into their cynical plans to rebuild their imperialist strategy for taking the White House back from the Republicans. We know who they are, they are all in the same boat and they don’t get to speak for us any longer.

We can take a stand. We can get on the right side.

We can acknowledge that our every dream and aspiration is attached to a six hundred year long nightmare for the rest of the planet.

We can end that by finally paying reparations for everything our people stole and benefited from and by struggling with our own ruling class to pay reparations too because they owe everything they have to the African and oppressed peoples of the world. The peoples of the world are coming for what is theirs.

Clinton is not the answer to Trump–they’re two faces of the same beast! The problem is colonialism.

Colonialism must go, and we must do our part inside the belly of the beast to bring it down from within because Africans and oppressed peoples WILL be free and build a world without oppressors and oppressed, no one living at any one else’s expense.

Reparations Now! White people, resist Trump and the entire colonialist system.  Join the African People’s Solidarity Committee!

Uhuru!

We also welcome readers to join the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, the mass organization of the African People’s Solidarity Committee (APSC)!  You can become a member of USM by paying #Reparations to Black Star Industries; the programs of the African People’s Socialist Party, building a liberated African economy and dueling, contending power!
